KAIYA FOUNDATION

Kaiya is an unwavering quest for a life of harmony. It is a never-ending passion to embrace the power of human connection and to celebrate the joy of beauty, design, art, culture, physical and emotional well-being, and the life-giving energy of nature. The Kaiya Foundation was born out of this quest.

ENLIVEN

The Kaiya Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation with the purpose and mission to enliven the human condition, spirit, and senses of all Kaiya residents and guests, as well as the community around us and beyond. We achieve this through cultural, educational, and charitable initiatives focused on the visual arts and their connection to emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. At its core, the arts serve as one of the most significant and dynamic influences on human behavior and interaction. The arts have the proven ability to generate empathy, healing, and dignity while fostering new relationships and ideas within the community.

Over time, the Kaiya Foundation will establish what will be referred to as the Kaiya Foundation Collection. This permanent collection will bring to light artists from around the world, with the primary goal of sharing the collection with the public at Kaiya and the surrounding communities. Public sculptures from the Kaiya Foundation Collection may be displayed at Kaiya, along 30A, and in neighborhoods at risk within the geographic region. This diverse collection aims to enliven the senses and spirits of a broad audience.

The Kaiya Foundation Artist-in-Residence program provides an interactive experience for both artists and the public. Artists from around the world will reside on the Kaiya site, which will serve as both housing and studio space for creating their own body of work during their tenure. This space will also host workshops for the public, including youth art camps, adult art studies, and social events.

The Kaiya Foundation Art Camp is a summer program for youth aged 8 to 18. Conducted at the artist-in-residence studio and other areas within the Kaiya resort, the camp helps youth connect with art in dynamic ways. Participants will include youth visiting 30A with their families as well as those living in the region. The camp aims to enliven the senses and spirits of all youth, regardless of economic or social status.

Supporting Kaiya’s mission to bring harmony to life, emotional and spiritual well-being is at the core of the Kaiya Foundation. The program is designed to uplift, renew, and inspire individuals and families. Part of the Kaiya Foundation and the 30-room boutique hotel Oyom, this initiative—called JVANA, an ancient word for enliven—uses art, creativity, nature, nutrition, and exercise to pave the way for healing and transformation.

The Kaiya Foundation is committed to educating and enlightening the public about artists, current movements, trends, and inspirations. This education will be facilitated through events at Kaiya, particularly at Omaire Gallery, and other Kaiya locations. These events will include lectures, seminars, viewings, performances, and social connectors.

To assist youth in pursuing higher education in art and design-centric fields, the Kaiya Foundation offers scholarships based on applications received. For more information about art scholarships, please send inquiries to info@kaiyafoundation.org.
